Windows 10 has it’s fair share of bugs and one of the recent ones that I encountered was related to the Windows Taskbar getting frozen or unresponsive. When this happens, the taskbar will be unusable and it won’t auto hide nor the right click would work on it. It’s just becomes totally unresponsive.
So how do you fix the Taskbar and make it responsive once again?
Well, restarting Windows or re-logging into your windows user account might fix it. But it’s not something kind of an quick fix, instead you can go to the Processes tab in the Task manager and restart it. This will fix the frozen taskbar in Windows 10 within a few seconds.

- Step 1: Press the CTRL + ALT + DEL key combination and click on Task manager.
- Step 2: Click on More details.
- Step 4: Right click on the Windows Explorer process and select Restart.
There you go, the task manager should be back now and it should be fixed.
This is not the only situation where the above instructions become useful. It can also be used in any events related to bugs with the Windows explorer. Yes.. This is a quick and effective way to fix the problem and thanks for sharing.
However it is not a permanent solution. The task bar WILL freeze again soon. Cmon MS please sort it out. The amount of little annoying problems in your operating system(s) are making Windows more and more unfriendly as time goes on.
