Every place on earth can be located on a map by the point of intersection of an unique set of lines known as latitude and longitudes.
Google map uses the same latitude and longitude coordinates to locate any place on a virtual map of earth. By default Google maps does not show us the latitude and longitude coordinates of a place, but a functionality for the same is already present in Google maps.
Most people are unaware of this handy little feature. But for those who want to find out the latitude and longitude coordinates of a place on Google maps, here’s how you can do so.
Find the latitude and longitude coordinates on Google maps on a Web Browser
- Step 1: Head over to maps.Google.com and search for any place
- Step 2: Right click anywhere on the map or on a location marker
- Step 3: Click on “Whats here”
There you go, you can see the latitude and longitude coordinates of the place in a box at the bottom of the map.
